window 10 making a milestone outpaced other predecessors in four weeks of 75million users outreach.

The recent change in the leadership and direction in Microsoft was meant with a little mistrust bt, it seems window is back to market in all facets from software to Lumia to pinpoint and decisive. Acquisitions.
It seemed a little crazy when Microsoft set the ambitious goal to put
Windows 10 on 1 billion devices within the next few years, but just one
month after the launch the company is 7.5 percent of the way there.........With 75 million installations after four weeks, Windows 10 is clearly
spreading faster than any of Microsoft’s previous operating systems.
Windows 7 and 8 both needed about six months to reach 100 million sales.
At this pace, Windows 10 will hit that milestone in under six weeks.
To be fair, the company’s most recent operating system launch is hard to
compare to its predecessors. This is the first time most Windows users
have been able to upgrade for free, there are more computers in the world
today compared to when Windows 7 launched in 2010 and Windows 10
runs on a variety of devices instead of limiting its possible customers to PC
users.
But nonetheless, the numbers are pretty impressive.
Windows 10 was Microsoft’s bid to reclaim its fanbase and pickup
marketshare after controversial changes under Windows 8 left many users
frustrated. So far, the operating system seems to be doing just that.
Installations will likely slow in the coming months after the free upgrades
are exhausted, but Microsoft would still hit its 1 billion devices goal even if
it were to see half as many downloads from now on.
Mehdi tossed out a few other interesting stats, reporting that the Windows
app store is seeing six times as many downloads on Windows 10 compared
Windows 8, Cortana has told over 500,000 jokes in response to the “tell me
a joke” command and the operating system has reached 192 countries,
which is just a few shy of every country on earth.....
Dreams coming through so so fast..
